Limited Manufacturer's Warranty

At Tempo Patio, we firmly stand behind our products so you can enjoy them worry free. Our Authorized Dealer Network and Customer Service Support team stand ready to support any questions or issues that may arise with our products. We offer Limited Manufacturer’s Warranty for all our products. 

For umbrellas (center-pole market and cantilevers):

The warranty period begins on the purchase date of the product, either directly from this site (shop.tempopatio.com) or from one of our Authorized Dealers. During the warranty period, claims can be made to Tempo Patio either by contacting the authorized dealer where the umbrella was purchased or Tempo Patio directly by emailing a claim request to custserv@tempoleisure.com. If an umbrella is repaired or replaced during the warranty period, the expiration of the warranty period does not change from the original purchase date.

Each component of our products carries different warranties. However, all are subject to General Exclusions outlined below:

  • Where there is evidence of physical abuse or a less than reasonable level of care and maintenance
  • Any Damage caused by Third Party modification of the umbrella use of non-Tempo patio parts
  • Any umbrella not purchased directly through a Tempo Patio or an Authorized Dealer of Tempo Patio product
  • This warranty is not transferable to resellers or private parties
  • Retail (Non-Commercial Grade) Umbrellas used in Commercial Settings
    • Tempo Patio does offer Commercial Grade products that carry Commercial Warranties. Please reach out at custserv@tempoleisure.com or check with an Authorized Dealer if your umbrella is approved for commercial use
  • Wind Damage - umbrellas should be secured with appropriately weighted bases and lowered and closed when not in use or at the outset of a storm
    • Our umbrellas are designed to support wind and are wind-tested; however, they can be damaged during unique wind events and reasonable care should be taken to avoid this exposure

We offer a 3-year Limited Warranty on our umbrella frames. The schedule of repairs and replacements is as follows: 

  • Frame Finishes - we will repair or replace any frame that experiences any de-lamination of the frame finish during the warranty period. Scratches that occur during normal use are not considered a defect in the finish workmanship
  • Operation - we will repair or replace any part causing the umbrella to fail to operate correctly, rendering it out of service. This includes any crank, gliders, runners, hubs, turning collars or finials. Tempo Patio reserves the right to either repair - or send necessary parts to repair - the umbrella in lieu of a full replacement
  • Structure - we will repair or replace any mounting base or parts necessary to maintain the standing structure of the Umbrella. This includes any cross braces or fillable bases that fail during the warranty period

For umbrella bases: 

The warranty period begins on the purchase date of the product, either directly from this site (shop.tempopatio.com) or from one of our Authorized Dealers. During the warranty period, claims can be made to Tempo Patio either by contacting the authorized dealer where the umbrella was purchased or Tempo Patio directly by emailing a claim request to custserv@tempoleisure.com. If an umbrella is repaired or replaced during the warranty period, the expiration of the warranty period does not change from the original purchase date. The same General Exclusions apply.

We offer a 3-year Limited Warranty on our umbrella bases. The schedule of repairs and replacements is as follows: 

  • Frame Finish - we will repair or replace any frame that experiences any de-lamination of the frame finish during the warranty period. Scratches that occur during normal use are not considered a defect in the finish workmanship
  • Rust - for a period of 1 year from the beginning of the Warranty Period, Tempo Patio will replace any Umbrella Base component causing the base to be out of service due to rusting
  • Operation - we will repair or replace any part causing the umbrella base to fail to operate correctly and be out of service. This includes tightening screws or collars, wheels, and the system to raise and lower wheels. Tempo Patio reserves the right to repair - or send necessary parts to repair - the umbrella bases in lieu of a full replacement
  • Structure - we will repair or replace any mounting base or parts necessary to maintain the standing structure of the Umbrella. This includes any cross braces or fillable bases that fail during the warranty period

For fabric, warranties vary by Manufacturer. For more details, please refer to the fabric manufacturers' published warranties.

For Sun-Tec fabrics, the warranty period begins on the purchase date of the product from either this site or an authorized Tempo Patio Dealer. During the warranty period, claims can be made to Tempo Patio either by contacting the authorized dealer where the umbrella was purchased or Tempo Patio directly by emailing a claim request to custserv@tempoleisure.com. If an umbrella canopy is repaired or replaced during the warranty period, the expiration of the warranty period does not change from the original purchase date.

Sun-Tec 5 Solution Dyed Acryllic (SDA) Fabrics

The warranty period begins at the purchase date of any product using Sun-Tec 5 fabric and expires 5 years from said date. If fabric is replaced during the warranty period, the expiration of the warranty period does not change from the original purchase date.

Warranty Period - 5 Years

Sun-Tec warranties its SDA fabric performance for a period of 5 years for the following performance failures:

  • Loss of Color
  • Tearing
  • Abrasion

Sun-Tec 4 Solution Dyed Polyester (SDP) Fabrics

Warranty Period - 4 Years

Sun-Tec warranties its SDP fabric performance for a period of 4 years for the following performance failures:

  • Loss of Color
  • Tearing
  • Abrasion

Sun-Tec 4 and 5 warranties are based on normal use, conditions, and to all exposures including sunlight, moisture, and everyday exposure to the atmosphere. This warranty does not cover normal care and cleaning or damage from physical abuse or misuse. It implies the user provides a reasonable level of care and maintenance to the fabric.

When within the warranty period, Sun-Tec will provide new fabric needed to support a replacement of any product using Sun-Tec fabric that is deemed unserviceable due to the performance of the fabric while meeting the conditions outlined by the Limited Warranty. Sun-Tec will deliver this replacement fabric to the original manufacturer or assigned provider of the replacement product.
